Gerard was born May 31, 1956 in Windsor Ontario Canada. Gerard “legally” immigrated to the United States with his family in the late 1960’s. Gerard served in the United States Marine Corps from February 1974 to February 1978. At the time of his honorable discharge Gerard was a Sergeant (E-5).
Gerard’s passions are his Faith, Family, and the American Dream. I am married to my best friend Marti and have three wonderful children (Peggy, Wish and John). Gerard’s life has been spent living the American Dream and he has benefited from the American way of life. As such he is running so that he can pay back and pay forward. Pay back to this great country for affording him the life he has and pay forward to future generations so that they may be able to enjoy the life I have. Gerard is a Naturalized American Citizen who immigrated to this country with his parents in the late 60’s. He dropped out of high school at age 16 and joined the Marine Corps at 17 where he went to night school and earned his High School Diploma. Gerard was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 1978 at which time he started pursuing his college education. While working full time with two children he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He has worked as a car wash attendant, janitor for a Salvation Army, laborer in a Steel Mill and as a manager in a variety of electronics companies. He and his wife Marti have owned their own business for 11 years.
